LRL Ltd was formed in 2005 by Managing Director, Robert Lomax. We have grown year on year since inception and are now one of the largest privately owned flat roofing contractors in the North of England. The secret to our growth has been simple; we listen to our client’s needs, and then deliver high quality projects, professionally, safely and on time. We are proud to have ongoing relationships with many blue chip clients such the NHS, Kellogg’s, Unilever, ASDA and British Aerospace.

Meet the experts
Robert is the founder and Managing Director of LRL. Responsibilities centre on strategic planning and delivery of our ambitious business plan. Robert is passionate about the business and developing the people within it.
Office and Accounts Manager
Pamela is responsible for the day to day running of the office as well as the financial aspect of the business. Pamela’s responsibilities include production of monthly management accounts and supplier payments.
James McKnight BSc (Hons)
James is a qualified Quantity Surveyor and has worked in the Construction Industry for 20 years. With overall responsibility for the Contracts Department at LRL Liquid Division, James is focused on delivering all projects on time and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Barry has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. Barry is head of all site based employees and an expert in Health & Safety and Project Management and thus crucial to the effective execution of our work.
Felt Division Manager
Robert proudly heads up the Felt Division here at LRL. Previously operating as a Site Manager and latterly an Estimator, Robert has an in depth understanding of how work is secured and ultimately executed on site. Robert’s knowledge and experience ensures he is ideally positioned to drive the felt division forwards.
Fran McArthur BSc (Hons), MBA
Non Executive Director
Fran is a commercially astute Sales & Marketing professional with a successful track record of working in both B2C and B2B environments. Fran gives Liquid Roofing an external perspective and works with individual staff to help them achieve their full potential.
Business Development Director
Terence is the Business Development Director of LRL. Responsible for the commercial and marketing functions of the business and achieving sustainable growth. Terence is passionate about working closely with our industry partners and developing strong business relationships.
Putting Safety First
We have a clear ‘zero accidents’ vision and our safety record is exceptional. We’ve achieved this by having robust systems and procedures, implementing health and safety initiatives to boost awareness amongst staff and by putting a strong emphasis on safety in development and training.
- All of our site staff hold appropriate CSCS cards.
- All of our site management have undergone and passed the demanding 5 day CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
- We regularly act as Principal Contractor under The Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM Regs).
